My forever friend

My little kitten loves to play
She makes me laugh everyday
She climbs the curtains and jumps up the walls
She even chases paper balls.

She brings home presents just for me
I chase and catch and set them free
Her fur is black with patches of white
Her eyes are green and shine at night.

She snuggles down at the end of my bed
Then sneaks up later beside my head
I hear her purr, it sends me to sleep
Whilst stroking her fur soft and sleek.

My kitten, my cat, my forever friend
I will remember your always to the very end.
