MY FRIEND THE NIGHT

The daylight hours are over once more 
So comes the night that's certainly for sure
I for one am happy as you will see 
For the night is like a friend to me 

The daytime tends to drag on and I get by 
It's nighttime though that gives me my high
I see the stars in the sky that dazzle so bright 
Soon disappear during the first morning light

The cloud pattern at night is so very pretty 
As bright colours form over a once light city
So my friend the night I love you being there
Without any worry and without any care
