Poem -

My Girl

A year ago today I received a very special parcel. An extra small parcel.
Someone who was that little bit smaller than full term babies.
Someone who would need that extra bit of care and stay in hospital for the first 15 days of her life unlike full term babies.
Who would need to put up a bit more of a fight than full term babies.
Who would need to learn how to breath on her own a lot ealier than full term babies.
Who would need to learn how to suckle on the outside world unlike full term babies.
Who's lungs needed to fully develop unlike the full term babies.
This little girl has shown me how strong she can be and beat all obstacles in her way.
She has shown me that not all big problems that I may think she can't get through, Well lets just say she can and she proved mummy wrong.
My little parcel the whole 4lb 2 ounce of her made mummy strong again.
My little parcel the whole 4lb 2 ounce helped mummy believe again.
I would love to wish my no so little parcel anymore. My baby girl poppy-leigh a happy first birthday.
Mummy and daddy love you so much xxxxx
