My heart

Examine my heart oh Lord, consecrate

it with your holiness, cleanse it with

your power to be pure and good.

Let my heart shine with your glory,

rejuvenate it with your might touch,

santurate it to be filled with love.

Teach my heart not to boast and be

proud but to be humble, guide it in

 all truth, liberate it from envy.

Give me a new heart oh Lord, one 

that is not rude but speaks kind words,

one that is not grudging but forgives.

God, I pray my heart can be like yours,

full of compassion, slow to anger,

abounding in love and so merciful.

Speak to my heart, convict it and 

restore it my dear heavenly father.
