From The Heart

Why does my heart have so much to say ?
Telling me I should never have let you leave
Why does my heart now treat me this way ?
Doing all it possibly can to make me believe,
I will see you walking through my door again
That we can still share what we had before
That, without you, nothing can be the same
That all I need is your loving ways once more.

Hey Richard. A very beautiful write. I can relate to this one .after my separation from my ex I started looking up old friends . I found this girl who I had dated before but found that she had just passed away from cancer 2 days before . This hit me hard at the time and will never forget our friendship. Hugs to you rock
So sorry to hear of your loss. Hug to you. Life can be heartbreaking at times I know.
Wishing you the very best my friend.
Take care.
Hey Richard,
This was very well put together without deviating from one subject matter to another...This strictly dwelled on the subject at hand..(Your heart and her unattendance)... I applaud your focus and good way to carry an un-interrupted rhymic tone to this piece. A great cause and affect correlational presentation.....Jim
Thank you for your kind words on this piece ! So pleased you appreciate the effort that went into it and feel it delivers on an emotional level.
Wishing you the very best as always ! :)
Take care.
Hello Richard...

:) Hug !
Take care.
Nice sentiment....but I say listen to your head...you miss her..ok that's natural, but is over, I guess all things end badly..otherwise they wouldn't end. But seems to me the author is still lonely, so is now missing the familiar, we are creatures of habit, familiar to us means safe....so while the poem is heartfelt, I say for sanity so sake, do somthing 'dangerous' do somthing different, move on :) cool thoughtful write
An interesting perspective ! An appraisal of this piece that made me think !!! :)
It depends on why a love walks out and their attitude on what caused them to leave as to whether the relationship is retrievable ! When you are younger and more resilient and confident it is easier to move on to pastures new. When you are older and realize what is familiar and comforting is what you cherish and appreciate most, then you are willing to do more to resurrect a relationship, you are going to try harder to revive it. Doing the 'dangerous' or different is not always the easiest thing if the relationship is years on ! More has been invested in the partnership, in which case you are much more likely to wish or yearn for its return !
Thank you for your thoughts on my poem !!!
Best wishes to you ! :)
