Poem -

My Last Night

I have a question,

& It's kinda low..

But, if I died tonight,

would anyone know?

Who would care,

If I failed to see tomorrow?

Who would dare,

to express such sorrow..?

In your arms,

is where I would lay.

If I knew,

this was my last day.

Our hands entwined,

& You in sight.

Is all I would ask for,

if this was my last night..

Sister,

First of all, great poem. Still, is it only art? Or must we respond to the deep sadness only somebody who's speaking these words can feel. Did you mean to entertain us with your pain? And is there someone there to hold you in moments like this? You are not alone. How many other poets on this site (and elsewhere- for these are dark times) have voiced feelings such as these- how we refuse to let our struggles defeat us. Half-full or half-empty? You can't let go yet- none of us know when our last night will be.
