My little truth tinβ€οΈ

I wrote my name on aΒ scrap of paper
I told a truth about the briney sea
Adding about my life as a fishermanβs daughter
Coz that was from the very heart of me
I said how I met a young country lad
In my local favourite dance
Well we both were βOh so youngβ that night
But our destiny led to romance
Well a couple of years down the line
We got engaged, then we were wed
Ten years moved on,
We had three girls
Our parents passed & tears were shed
I folded my ditty as small as I couldΒ
I placed it in a tiny coloured tin
Including a few of my family photographs
I locked my life within
Under floorboards of my dwelling
This is where this creation does lie
Iβve left a small legacy to tell the tales from all my years gone by
God only knows how long it shall be
Before some stranger will open my tin
I can only hope itβs findings bring them joy
Discovering these inhabitants wherein
This bungalow has been my home for over forty fortunate years
Betwixt happiness & lifes long stories told
Children running around full of cheers
From tiny tots to growing old
My married life has passed Oh so fast
With countless memories for me to treasure
I pray the person that reads my verses
Will look upon it with happiness & pleasureβ€οΈ
