My Maisie Grace?

My Maisie Grace?

Has anybody seen my Maisie Grace
she’s four feet eleven with freckles on her face
with a short stubby nose
that wiggles when it blows
Oh I wish I knew where Maisie goes

I love her to bits my ā€˜Chickadee’
tho she may not even notice me
as I secretly hide behind the tree
She’s as free as a bird my ā€˜Honeybee’

I wonder what she’d say if she saw me there
with her long blonde locks blowing in the air
She has such panache amidst her flair
My Maisie Grace has gone somewhere

Perhaps she is playing in the park
She is bound to come home before the dark
hanging out with her friends having a lark
chasing her dog & making it bark

Maybe Maisie is with her Mammy at the shops
they may be buying matching tops
to go with their different sized flip flops
her mother shops until she drops

I guess I’ll have to wait & see
I’ll sit on her wall till she passes me
Oh how my heart will fill with glee
My Maisie Grace can I marry thee ?
