‘My most magical moment’

Yesterday I heard a cuckoo
a-calling out my name
I saw it sitting on my fence
It was amazingly tame

I opened my front window
expecting it not to stay
But to my sheer astonishment
It ‘Cockood’ in a repetitive way

I counted ten loud ‘Cuckoos’
Just like my cuckoo clock
it wasn’t that on my wall
This was clear with no tick tock

I was very near to him
OHe was staring straight at me
This really was the most bizzarest thing I ever did see

Then in a ‘Lickety spilt’
It belted out a call
I knew what it had said
It wasn’t unfamilar at all

My name is Jill,
Tho I know this sounds absurd
But that’s what it said
‘Jill’ was exactly what I heard

Well ‘Bless my soul’
In a flash it disappeared

Tho it was so very weird
