Poem -

TO MY OHANA

TO MY OHANA

Looking back on things we were each other’s wings

We got through things we thought we couldn’t

We have faced things we thought we wouldn’t

We bettered through the things that tried to break our wings!

We’ve been through the storm and the rain

Back into the game fighting to dance again

Our spirits may heal but are scars remain

And our hearts are stained

Yet we do not blame

We face the game

Because our pride remains.

Ohana is the key

To all that I need

My family is greatest part of me

And together we get to where we need to be

No one is left behind or forgotten

Even our family above

Are beside us when times are tough

In our hearts every day

And alongside us all the way

I think we are doing better than ok

And we won’t give the game away

We stick together through any kind of weather

We do what we need to do in order to pull each other through

And I’m so thankful for each and every one of you

To my ohana I love you

And I thank you for all that you do

Thank you for always seeing me through

(Ohana means family- family means no one is left behind or forgotten- no matter the time or distance apart we stick together in heart)
