My ‘Pie in the sky’ I spy

My ‘Pie in the sky’ I spy

I dream of Sea horses that pass me by
As I cling on Mermaids tails high in the sky

Not a cloud do I spy but
Sea anemones  & white yacht sails
Colourful crimson coral reefs,
fishes & Humpback whales

“Ahoy there me hearties”
A captain of his ship does yell
Shouldn’t he be in the ocean?
As he passes me he shouts “Farewell”

This peculiar fantasy as I lay on my bed:
Is a ‘Pie in the sky,’ ‘Castle in the air”
A mangled mixup all in my head

Oh how I enjoy a whimsical
vision in the dark of the night
My miraged mind in a spectacular array of waggish delight

A dream to beat all dreams
I hope I reminisce in the morning
Ahh it is only 2.am
I close my eyes drifting back in my dream sleepily yawning
