My pretty meadow

My pretty meadow

A multi coloured mixture of meadow flowers blowing in the summer breeze
Oh what a joy it is to stumble upon these

All their delicate heads in same tune as they sway
So many different varieties in this pasture lay

Egg yolk yellow buttercup
Pretty Oxeye daisy
Tightly mixed together
Appearing beautifully crazy

Tiny clumps of blue bells
Every now & then
I could spy honeysuckle
& cowslip brightening up this glen

Afraid to spoil this splendour
I tip toed through
Had to get to the otherside
So there was nothing i could do

I heard my inner voice appologise
This pretty blanket below my feet
I hated dusturbing them
They all blended so sweet

So lovingly & carefully
I crept on through
I came to a wooden stile
sitting on top I soaked my view

Snapping a few photos from my phone
There wasn’t a soul for miles
I was sitting all alone

Tho I’d never been here before
I had to part with a sigh
I vowed to return till the day that I die
