My ridiculous, raucous overreaction 🤣

My ridiculous, raucous overreaction 🤣

One March misty morning, I went out for a walk

Where frothy waves rolled in as white as chalk

As Seagulls screeched their strident squawk

They were ganging up on a Sparrow Hawk

And I watched coz I thought this sighting was wrong

Surely a Sparrow Hawk at the seaside cannot belong?

Well it seemed a little lost with his harsh “Kek Kek” song

But he fluffed his feathers up looking strong

Of course he wouldn’t feel welcome with the aquatic birds

Those deafening dins sounded angry words

From his not so feathered friends that surrounded in herds

Shouting out their hostile absurds

Now I know one shouldn’t interfere with Mother nature

But my heart felt sad for this lonesome creature

And there was no respite from this sickening legislature

So I shooed away all those birds with my scaring feature..

I jumped and shouted with my arms flapping up in the air

Darting and dashing about everywhere

But my ridiculous raucous was an overreaction to show I do care

Huh sometimes that good old Mother nature, just isn’t fair..
