MY SON'S OLD FRIENDS

MY SON'S OLD FRIENDS

My stomach hurts but it’s okay.
My baby boy takes strife away.
My twisting insides are no match for love that’s cooked
after it’s hatched.
I can’t look back.
The sun has set.
Too many years
short-framed roulette.
Settle in and stay right here.
Sonny needs good
friends for years.
