My Soul
Imagine

Imagine, dear soul, you arrived here unadorned,
The fortunate recipient of nature's genetic score,
Whatever life may bring, you're already ahead,
For you draw sustenance from the very source you were fed.
You lay claim to these resources, calling them your own,
And demand accountability from those you have known,
But when your time here is up, you'll return to the earth,
And once again, nature will demonstrate her worth.
What a paradox, to call this world our own,
When in the end, we're just passing through, on loan,
My fear isn't that the world will come to an end,
But that without us, it will thrive and mend.
For I see so much beauty in the human race,
It would be a tragedy to miss the joy and grace,
Let's rekindle hope in the heart of humanity,
For our future relies on it, and it's our destiny.
