My story of the sea đź’™

My story of the sea đź’™

There are harbour lights a’calling for my story of the sea

Far across the hazy horizon, where eternity is free

As sure as that sandiness shingles to a scree

Shoals of silver fish swim clandestinely..

And the lighthouse stands alone on a rock

Casting its shadows by the time on a clock

Guiding fishing boats safely back to the dock

Where squawking Seagulls duck and dive for rich pickings amok..

Awww my dear Dad was one of those fearless Fishermen

And Oh what I wouldn’t give to see him in his cabin again

You see he was the Captain like a caring Mother hen

But Oh my old Papa, how I wish I could still see you on your boat now and then…
