The Middle East a place I haven’t really seen
Apart from airports and from windows
Of fancy flying machines

Persia 
Mt Zion
Babylon...
I’ve been thinking about you again tonight 
what is going on?

I see news reports of fighting
Destruction and doing wrong
I’ve wanted to come visit 
So I know what’s going on

I’ve seen Arabians on horseback
Along the beaches of Sinai 
Drank tea with the Bedouin 
But I had to say goodbye
For I wasn’t strong enough to stay too long
And explore like I’d hoped
My thoughts have been with you some years 
And I see it as no joke

Now I see the time has come for decisions on all sides
For I see the planets future could be at stake

And billions of lives
