My Two Angel Grandpas

Thinking about my year in review,
Begins to make my heart feel blue.

Losing not one, but two
As we part I say adieu

We will eventually be together again
My only question I have is when?

Reflecting on this past year,
Makes it hard not to shed a tear

Memories are all that exists
Oh how my grandpas will be missed.  

There’s things I wish I could tell Papa Al,
Such as I will do my best to succeed, not fail.

A lot I want to say to Papa John,
Every since he has been gone.

Like, I have been awarded employee of the month at my job,
I guess it pays off to not be a slob.

I finished my first semester this year,
Second semester is coming so near.

I know you both would be so proud,
I just wish I could hear you say it out loud.  

Even though you are not here
Praying to you brings me cheer.
