My View Of History

I look forward
And see deep into yesterday
The past is standard
Tomorrow's dawn writes its play

What will be
Has forever been
Some stumble at what they see
History unfolds in whats seen

Billions of years
They say, as day dawns
Loss with tears
Life is fragile and fawns

Future is but a prize
Gained by but few
Praise is a practice
What will be is the clue

Don't tell me about yesterday
Unless you can see tomorrow
What faith is in a holiday
Unless you answer deaths sorrow

Life is not a flat line
But a circle around God
Looking back to catch time
Is best to be sure of what we ought

My view of history
Is God's grip on my future
Life is but our story
His vantage is the bigger picture
