Mystery Art

Your chest is covered in a luminous sunset

Your face striking, like a rich blue night

Dense forest scarves your neck green

Your beak red like a glowing ember

Such intense expressions

dripping down your wings

and your spine

Tell me handsome parrot

How did you manage to fall

onto God's wet canvas

and live to see these millennia

You seem older than the wisest owl

yet new as a rose bud in the morning myst

Thanks again... I  often do well when I turn to nature as subject matter. But I  rarely turn to nature as subject matter LOL. Perhaps I should do it more often.

Excellent imagery, outstanding painting!
You certainly know how to use nature and art in a poem, well done.

Favorite line

Your beak red like a glowing ember

I could see the sunset on the painting, with a parrot who had a red beak.
