Poem -

Naked Down

Naked down

On the chilling floor

 A fetal ball

By the unlocked door.

Eyes narrowed

With profile right

Bathed in darkness

In the dawning light.

Nothing hidden

Showing all to bare

Sanctified exposure

 In the mystified air.

Stretching long

Firm and flat

Crying out

Like a wounded cat.

Wounds exposed

Blood and bone

Scars run deep

When you're all alone.

Helping plea

Whispered call

Unmasked truth

Shadowed pall.

Soul in pain

The silent scream

There's no escaping

The waking dream.

Life adrift

Lost and blue

Broken heart

Nothing new.

Fractured mind

Closing eyes

Parted lips

Telling sighs.

Naked down

Frozen will

Broken life

Lying still.

I love this poem very simple but deep and revealing.
