NANTES CATHEDRAL

There it stood for us all to enjoy and admire
Since the 15th century now ravaged by fire
The cathedral to which I refer is in France 
A country of culture,history and romance

Why should arsonists do such a thing ?
Knowing the unhappiness it will bring 
The organ which played such fine tunes 
Now destroyed by idiots and buffoons

Three fires were started so the reports say
What a terrible thing to start the new day 
Mon Dieu could be heard from the crowd 
As smoke rose above the morning cloud
