Poem -

Nature and Us

A bird eats a moth high up in a tree
A bee thinks I'm a flower so it lands upon me
The brown pine needles crunch beneath my feet
shoved out by something newer and green
             This is nature

The bird is a millionare, the storeowner (or moth) has much less
The bee is a woman, and I a picture of a beautiful dress
The needles are like people, buried in the ground
The new ones are like soldiers, fighting all around
             This is society

Isn't it funny that we try to find a way
To be better than nature, more sophisticated as we say
But lets be honest, we just keep going back
Cause God made nature to help us survive and that's that!
            This is truth

Our roots will stay deep in the ground
Our branches can stretch to the sky
We can try to be different and thats all right
But lets treat mother nature like she deserves cause its right!
           This is the end

An inspiring piece that includes imagery that illustrates a different way of viewing things.
