Needle In a Haystack

Needle In a Haystack

He sits in the mirror
Desperately looking for anything that he can say he's proud of
He's just a needle in a haystack
Trying to find himself
Amongst all that hay
To cover a quarter might take him a day
Love isn't love when it's drifting away
And he's constantly drifting
Something inside of him gradually shifting

He wants to be more
But how could that happen while stuck to the floor
Kissing the boots of the one he deplores

I'm one in the same
He suffers in darkness I suffer in flame
Only accustomed to sadness and pain
While I look for a mirror like shelter from rain
