‘Nellie & Lily’ ????

‘Nellie & Lily’ ????

Two boiled eggs for breakfast
with a nice refreshing cup of tea
Five minutes in a boiling pan
Perfectly done for me

I likem’ soft & runny
Yolk’s drippin’ off my chin
Mixed in a bowl wih bits of bread
Black pepper scattered within

I always enjoy my brekkie
the most important meal of the day
It stops me from junk picking
“Piggin’ out”as they do say

I do love my eggs
Along with any meal on the side
Presented any which way possible
Scrambled, poached, boiled or fried

I wish I had some chickens
A couple would probably do
then I could collect fresh eggs every morning
I reckon a pair of chucks would lay two

I’m going to drop a subtle hint
Next time my daughter’s buy me a gift
I shall tell them to read my
latest ditty
Hopefully they will get my drift

Then husband can make me a chicken coop
It won’t require no fancy run
My chooks can wander in my garden
totally free-range having fun

Now I cannot wait for Christmas
Tho I’m thinkin’ “Will it be too cold?”
Oh please someone buy me two roosters
Before I get too old !!
