Poem -

Never A Footprint...

I find it quite odd
That you are here in the air
Yet never a footprint is left
On my stair

Or that still you walk on
With a clatter and bang
Making doors close when
There's nobody there

And I know you still smoke
For the fumes fill the air
Where on earth did you find
Such a shop over there

But I love that you've come
home
Unchanged in your ways
And I love how your room is
so tidy each day

Because now that you're
back
This old house feels like
home
And if you should die again
Please, please, please
Take your phone
