Poem -

A never drowning moon.

I allowed him to persuade
My thoughts of the night
Thinking the moon
Owned it,

But it never does, nor did
It was always the light,

the light across the pathways
Each glimpse of life inside
a window,

The places darkness can't reach
inside the hearts of lovers,

sure the moon beams down
towards the ground
A delightful sight to see,

and those stars up high light up
an entire galaxy,

but down here where shadows play
is the place to be,

casting light towards the night
from deep inside of me
deep inside of him

Such a light takes the moon
on a journey across many oceans
Of love
teaching it how to swim.
