Poem -

Never the Same

Leafy patches of
Near-bare trees
Hold high,
Reaching towards stars
Hung on moon dust
And dreams;

And the moon;
Her shadow is matched
By a charcoal breeze
Blowing gently-
A whispered secret
Amongst the gods.

A river ripples,
Royal blue and
Awake.
Bugs skitter across,
Dodging hungry fish
With silvery wings.

Nighttime there is
Magical,
Quiet.
And never again will it be the same.

Wow. Great imagery and word choice. Feels magical and beautiful. Nicely done.
