If this were a dream
And I were awake
And you were asleep
And everything suddenly
Fell at my feet
I'd build you a world
Of diamonds and gold
With clouds made of ash
With clouds made of coal
And watch as you burn up
The sky in a rage
And watch as you struggle
A beast in a cage
Poked and prodded
Pricked and pined
All out of patience
And losing your mind

Thanks Devon, anyone that works with me knows that I don't see the point in putting two verses together and calling it one poem. When I work with people I try to really get to know who they are and what they want, so that I can achieve that one voice poem, because when collaborating that's the most beautiful kind.
