I am both honoured & also a little disappointed too .. to be the very first to leave my mark or stain here .. .. Whilst this may not be every-ones cup of tea, or appeal to their particular poetic tastes, it certainly appeals to me & mine and I can appreciate exactly where you are coming from Marion ...
Not only can one feel the impact from the off, but it has that original stamp that makes it stand out a mile n a half ............................ I am in fact a firm believer that this our chosen craft aint all about pink ribbons, love hearts n being PC .. but rather about life, n death and all those ugly and beautiful and painful and additional encompassing animate and inanimate things that form part of what we may or may not experience as we individually journey on our individual, collective or separate ways ............................................................. Thankyou for this lovely comment. I absolutely agree that the idea of 'poetry' having to be 'pretty' goes deeply against my grain also Neville, though there are some beautiful pieces in existance. In the end I think writing comes somewhere from deep inside and these days, in my world, nothing feels pretty anymore though I used to write pretty...honest...I did!!! I really really did 🥰🥰
