New Direction

Throwing caution to the wind, I make my play,
Not caring how I'm judged or what others say !
Too long I have been frozen in fear of rejection.
It is now time to take a whole new direction !

My life was stagnant, not giving any satisfaction.
I was constantly given over to routine introspection.
Willing to free my mind, expressing what's hidden,
From this moment on, to be as I was is forbidden !

Knowing you are not fulfilling your true potential,
Constantly pretending you do not need what's crucial,
Leaves a soul lost, not participating in what matters.
Today, I escape chains, preconceptions of me in tatters !
