Poem -
New Life Ahead
As I stare at what lies in front of me,
The tree of life forever mine,
Still yet I struggle to cross over,
And leave behind what's back in time.
These burdens I have carried so long,
I know they are what's holding me back,
But wrestling within myself to do this,
As this takes faith as my act.
Am I strong enough to let go,
Trusting all will work out in the end,
Believing making this choice is good,
And finally realizing freedom to win?
I'll take that leap as is required,
Not sure knowing what I'll do next,
But praying I'll make it through,
Peace being the key to unlock regrets.
