New year’s eve 2020 ?

Well we welcomed 2020 with our New year’s eve celebrations
Did we do something wrong to upset it throughout our entire nations ?
One can only wonder with regret
there must be an important thing we missed 
When the clocks striked twelve and everybody cheered and kissed

God will only know as he is aware of our fight whilst we isolate from everybody keeping ourselves out of sight
Difficult days with strange ways in our wake
I wish I had a crystal ball that would work for heaven’s sake
but try as I may to make any sense of it all I am stumbled in confusion with agonising appall

Yet we humans have the will to adapt to new changes as our lifestyles are threatened and civilisation rearranges
There is not a jot of a doubt in my
mind Scientists will be searching for an antidote to find
And when they come up with that vaccine that everyone will need we shall all be exempt from Corvid-19 indeed
