New Years is what?

New Years what exactly does that mean

is it a new beginning or the end

is it a time for reflection or a time of rememberance

  a time to remember all of your previous mistakes related to loved ones lost

or thoughts of those they left behind

a time to forget and forgive or to remember and relive

horrors of the past in an attempt to change the future

who knows yet each and every year we all put our faith in the hope that this year will be better

better lives, better crops, better jobs and partners just better

in some way maybe that is what it means after all

nothing more than to hope because that is all that there is

nothing more nothing less

hope for a better brighter future without further thought of yesterday
