New York

New York

The city thrives and sings with much delight

The people walk with spunk and exude pride

The sky glows red and blue and white all night

The children roam the streets with shoes untied

The yellow cabs all crowd the narrow lanes

The homeless sit and sulk with cardboard signs

The passengers bombard the city train

The models wear the best of Calvin Klein

The tourists search and seek for many days

The sirens scream a loud and angry noise

The streets are littered with dog and cat strays

The ladies act with much respect and poise

I love this life that’s full of glam and glitz

Living in this great city just makes sense
