I hate the night

With its crocodiles 

That sleep in your bed 

With ghosts

That bring fright

With its creased sheets; 

It's broken dreams

With all that it seems

A night sweat

A head full of fret and 

A dream broken 

As teeth shaking 

Biting, waking

For its murder 

It's cold dark sweats 

The lack of light
