Night Glow

The scent of night pours as stardust.
Sweet and heady like a lover’s hair.
This night I will drink its fragrance.
Intoxicated by its splendor before I go.
Night jasmine flowing like champagne
Filling my glass again and again.
Tonight is born to free my soul.
Allowing it to jump from my body
And dance in the joys of nature.
A silvered moon
lighting the garden.
Spilling its light on tangled vines
The dewdrops of daybreak
Sparkle like diamonds
on flowers and leaves.
I watch in homage.
Until nighttime fades
from the windows
and morning breaks
as never before.
