A Night In Mexicali

The chill of late October when the stars lit the sky

An evening where a life would be forever changed

That night I came in was the night you walked by

And the first occasion where regards were exchanged

So many had arrived and soaked in the sounds

The room held the aromas as they indulged and moved about

As I approached we met eyes

Our desires disclosed

Leading to that first evening we dined at Mexicali Rose

The ambience was fitting

We would singe the air with energy

We spoke into the night

And were awed by the synergy

We laughed and we listened

The connection was our substantiation

Your inner beauty shined through your radiant presentation

So easy on the eyes

A temple of ideal symmetry

Our minds were intertwined

You came equipped with all amenities

A natural beauty, intelligent mind

An inner strength

So pristine

You carried a quiet confidence

A wonderfully constructed queen

And it was known from that day that my purpose was in you

There would follow many occasions needing only a table for two

It’s amazing how that one night I can so clearly see

It led us to that pond where I’d be on bended knee

And if I could only list two reasons

The Lord chose to endow me

A love that’s everlasting

And

A night in Mexicali
