Poem -

Night sky

There was a flash of hope in your eyes

A minute meeting with your lies

You said I belonged to the wise

My naiveness would be a perfect disguise

You said a broken heart can never be broken again

If it did, there would be an explosion in the end

The murmurs of brokenness will whisper in my ears and die

And then they will change the way I look at the night sky

But then I still wonder,

I still wonder, why

The clouds are still black in the night sky.

I always said that my wise is you

Cause even your lies feel true

When you say I am beautiful, I am pure

For a second, I just felt so sure, but why pure?

You said a broken heart can never be broken again

If it did, there would be an explosion in the end

The murmurs of brokenness will whisper in my ears and die

And then they will change the way I look at the night sky

But then I still wonder,

I still wonder, why

The clouds are still black in the night sky.

So, was my heart never broken?

Or was it one of your deceits?

So, did you hurt me thinking that I won’t be hurt?

Or am I right now, just capable of feeling numb?

But then I still wonder,

I still wonder, why

The clouds are still black in the night sky.
