Nightglow

Velvet is the night
softly its nightglow falls
on to my garden
the one in my heart
where sweet memories
are planted.
where the seeds 
of all that was us
were nurtured
now they bloom
in my garden.
their nurturing rain
is from my tears.
but the colors of the flowers
are beyond anything
that can be grown
within the wide world outside.
tonight the light falls sweetly
on my garden.
