Poem -

Nightmare

There you were

Just a little aways with

A cliff.

The plant growing over the cliff,

The moss,

On the rocky and clay like ground.

Swell under your feet.

You stand at the edge

Playfully tipping forward and back

On your heels.

You don’t mean to ----

It just happens.

It frightens you.

It’s my job isn’t it?

To frighten you?

To hold you back from unseen meanings?

And sometimes,

Many

Have none at all.

Still, I hold your fear more permanent.

Unlike you,

I know why I come.

I just come to enjoy.

To view the landscape ----

The peace it brings me

When you’re at the very bottom.

And unlike you,

I know,

You cannot control this dream.

You cannot control Me,

Sincerely, Your Nightmare.
