Nighttime Stalker

Nighttime Stalker

As I lay my head to rest,
Pleasant dreams I do miss,
For a shadow stalks my door,
In the darkness he adores.

Staring at me as I dream,
Wicked, twisted imagery,
Cause tossing, turning misery,
Indulging joyment from my screams.

Inducing fear, so he can feed,
Is how he can live to be,
Glowing red eyes,
So he can see,
Oh, how creepy it may seem.

Nighttime stalker, what he is,
For in my door he does not live,
Only darkness is where he thrives,
Every corner,
Every shade,
Every shadow of the night.
