No More Broken Wings

No More Broken Wings

I was an angel with broken wings.

I couldn't fly, couldn't go very far,

All I could do was sit there and cry.

Then, as I looked up I saw

A pair of brown eyes.

Then, the most beautiful smile.

You took my hands,

Lifted me from the ground.

You said you'd always be there,

That you'd always stick around.

You kept your word, and stayed with me.

Now you're here.

Because you want to be.

I was an angel with tattered wings.

No time for laughter,

No time to sing.

Until you came along

And with your love,

There are no more broken wings.
