No Recycle For You

No Recycle For You

I’m walking through my neighborhood

Before the dawns’ first light

I see things so repugnant me

My stomach sickens at their sight

These people are all “well-to-do”

Large homes with vine and sash

But a lot of them don’t give a damn

And refuse recycle trash

Their bottles, papers, cans and such

All so vital they we save

They throw into plain garbage bags

And dig Mother Natures’ grave

I’ve actually had a chat or two

With these pillagers of dearth

And they could give a lesser shit

About saving Mother Earth

So I hope when it’s “your time” to be saved

And the recycling of your morbid soul

That Destiny decides “no way”

And buries it in a six-foot hole

Another superb piece that gets the reader thinking about the environment and what we are all doing to it. Recycling is really big over here and we all have four different large refuse bins for each house for all the different types of refuse so that it gets sorted properly and safely. It`s a modern day problem that we all have to make the effort to resolve. Well done for a well written and superbly delivered piece on such an important subject.

I love ya kiddo

Hi Georgina,

Just like you need a "Larry fix" every day, Linda and I need a "Georgina fix".  Imagine the withdrawal we suffered without one for so long.  No more food poisoning!  Of course, I never have enough words to thank you for all your support, and love notes, on the poems that I write.  Everyday, we look so forward to hearing from our poetic soulmate, Georgina.

Hugs, Kisses and Love,

Larry and Linda
