~ No Way To Curb The Pain ~

~ No Way To Curb The Pain ~

At early rise I am on the floor
No sleep last night
Tossed and turned dreamed no more
An evil force attacking my pride
No way to curb the pain

A doubter and his doubt
My mind's eye began to stray
While in the grip I am devout
But hallucination's in the game
No way to curb the pain

A quiet place for reverie
Becomes a torturous wish
For all is screaming deep inside me
Suicide my menu's only dish
No way to curb the pain

And so, in my mind
I tear down the church gate
I claw and I fight
For it is God I do dare berate
What other way
To curb this sinful pain

The sort of pain
That drives the pouring rain
The kind of pain
That considers insane
An option
What other way
To curb this crazy pain...

Oh my darling.......I know how you have had to suffer and tolerate this dreadful pain...My overriding hope is that somehow someway the pain allieviates and you can find that strength to move forward...How you manage to write such a compelling piece when distracted by so much pain is beyond me..but then you are a force of nature in itself  so I shouldn't really be surprised..healing hugs and constant prayers for you my brother poet...an excellent piece expressing  perfectly the frustration, anger and mind altering state that pain can leave you in..Lodigiana xxx

Hey Tony,
Nice write my friend, but sorry for your pain. I know how it is to have a bad back(from years of sports, and a defect), but I keep refusing to have surgery(I don't like surgery, it seems like people cutting you open, and messing around inside of you, to me).
I hope your pain subsides.

Matthew.

Hey Tony,
You're the cool one, my friend. You always give such nice, excitable reviews, and comments. Very friendly, I really like that.
That is true(mind over matter), I believe also. I've lived with it for a long time, and fight through it, but I've seen people(like my cousin Amy), who have had surgery, and turned out much worse! She's in bad shape.
Anyway, you're a really great guy, Tony. Hope you get through the pain.

Matthew.

Hey T....Of course I understand the every day suffering you endure and try to overcome each and every day.....I am sorry it is a part of life that holds you back sometimes from enjoying life to its fullest....I wish I could take it away...I wish I did not have neuropathy and arthritis too ...It makes me feel out of control over my life...I guess pain can serve to prove we are alive and feeling....lol...giving a stronger will maybe?  I am still sorry and love you for your strength.  I am always here.  Love n Hugs.  xo

Dear Tony,   I wish I had one magic finger and take some of your pain from you.  I know you must feel helpless cause I do and your pain is really bad.  I tried medical marijuana sucker once and I was amazed when I realized that I didn't hurt anywhere!  A feeling I had forgotten.  Maybe that will be an option for you soon.  If you don't mind me asking do you have a morphine implant in your back?  I know you would still have pain but might help in that one area.  I pray for you and your family.  God bless.  Love, Terry Kay

My Dear Tony,

There are times of my intense pain
When I berate Thee my dear Lord
I question my devotion
Seek where the grapes of wrath are stored

.
As I waver on insanity
I lash out at my dear King
But He instantly forgives me
And a panacea does He bring

Love you Bro,
Larry xxx
