No wood for the fire

No wood for the fire

The bitter thoughts of the fox recede,

Giving sweet life as he buries a seed,

From the earth emerge a timber that’s impregnable against axes,

The freest of the forest,

A different species,

That can’t be chopped to pieces,

Or burnt to ashes,

They are unable to light the wood of the land,

Because it’s the light of the woodlands,

That taught all the other trees photosynthesis.
