Nobody ever leaves this life alive
no one is immortal

24/08/2020
Nobody ever leaves this life alive
None of us are immortal,
Nobody ever leaves this life alive,
So stop looking for the portal.
They say there’s always light there,
At the end of the tunnel.
All I see is darkness,
And leaving,
From the beginning,
Like water freely flowing,
Through the hole of a funnel.
Take life,
Grasp tightly with both hands.
Find a good grip hold,
Don’t let your body disband.
Prepare for the unplanned,
And never leave your body completely unmanned.
As you never know what fate has in store,
What it's got planned.
Live each day as your last,
As you never know,
When you’ll leave this land.
So forget your plans,
Cherish each and everyday,
And concentrate on making,
Smiles as big as your mouth can span,
If you’ve got kids,
Cherish everyday even more if you can.
Anyone could be hit by a bus,
Whilst out walking,
Or collapse from a heart attack,Â
Without any warning.
No one knows when the reapers coming,
So treat each day as your last,
As it may be all of a sudden.
Smile each day,
Whether sad or happy.
Just continue lifes’ flow,
Even if low and feeling crappy.
Just remember there’s always someone,
Somewhere that needs a smile more than you,
Even me,Â
A forever smiling chappy!

Touching write James ?
Now this is the best advice there is... And so poetically put, too. The only certainty we have of anything in this life is the fact that one day we are going to die. And none of us know when this day will be. So yeah, great advice... Live each day as though it is your last.
Hope you are doing okay, James x

Hi James I agree with the other comments. Such a touching write in poetic verse. Its important to appreciate life and everything you have and live each day with things you love to do with family and friends you want to see. Thanks for posting such a deep write. Px
thank you for all of your comments as gives me the impetus and belief in myself to keep writing xx
