Noose lips!
Cross my heart
And I'll never lie
I won't say a word
As you might die
My mouth is sewed
The noose will choke
For you could hang
Over red hot coals
My tongue speaks
Of the devil
The truth seeks
Only in heaven
This is no child's play
Of show and tell
Not knowing my name
You could go to hell
Thread the dolls of voodoo
Save the needle for, guess who
No not me, the sacrifice is you!

There's an old legend around these parts about a young seamstress who was raped then murdered by her lover. He took her body and sewed her lips together after death fearing she would give his identity away beyond the grave.
He buried her body and it was never found.
She's simply called "The Seamstress."
Now around every Halloween she will appear at random homes in the area. If you scream, she sews your lips together to shut you up.
This is what your eerie poem reminded me of.
Nice & dark, Wayne.

Excellent! I'm glad that it reminded you of something, I suppose my guilty pleasure is the dark and twisted,
thanks Dean as always much appreciated ???
Nothing wrong with dark & twisted, Wayne. In fact, some people make a very good living at writing such things, lol.
You're very welcome, my fiend...errrr, heh-heh...I mean friend.

hey WAYNE!!...... the short phrases here evoke a darkness that allows the reader's imagination to take them to those dark places within themselves..... it is a VERY compelling piece of 'wide open' cleverness!!..... and a masterful use of phrasing!!....LOVE it my friend!!...ALL STARS!!...... well done!!....... LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo ???✴✴?✴✴❤
Thanks very much Tony! That was my aim really, a quite simplistic write that creates the readers imagination to go further into the imagination of themselves, I hope I did that Haha, thanks again ☮? brother!
