NOT SUCH AN EVERYDAY SCENE

NOT SUCH AND EVERYDAY SCENE
 

The clouds are getting ready to scuttle away.

They don't dare approach the sun as it starts a new day.

The redness of the sky a harbinger of what's to come.

Cables criss-crossing the scene, a gentle, rhythmical hum.

In the distance three trees stand out like a hill in Calvary.

God paints a picture worthy of hanging in any gallery.

 

This is a poem from a few years ago, inspired by a picture sent to me by @NardineSanderson
