NOTHING BOY

NOTHING BOY

The moon it does assault him
Stars slyly answer lonelys call
The chill night air engulfs him
Acursed blanketΒ
Smothering all
Fear knows his name nowΒ
And terror holds his hand
A dread so black so hopeless
Scuttles close to where he stands
Nothing is familiar
Nothing holds a joy
Nothing to cling onto
Nothing world for nothing boy
He breaks in tiny pieces
He quakes upon his knees
His mind is frozen solid
Drowned in endless icy tears
The tears form a million lakes
And lakes exist to swim
He jumps into the nothingness

And fills
Fills to the brim
Sweet lightness is his name now
And comfort holds his hand
The love of all who went before
Light his way to better lands
Now nothing boy is nothing ghost
And nothing world ghost shadows host
Where fear cannot touch him
And lonely holds no dread
And nothing troubles nothing boyΒ
For nothing boy is dead.

Loved the darkness that permeates this piece, Marion Price.
Each line drips with melancholic musing.
Good stuff; you do dark well.

Thankyou for your comments Dean, I love playing around with dark thoughts and the sheer range of emotions we are all capable of...what drives us, what breaks us...and what makes us happy. I'm still searching for that one ????

Thankyou so much T...iv been off here for a while I'm going to check out your stuff as soon as I get chance. Yes it's the misery in life that makes the best verse I think...or I'm may be just a very depressed person...lolΒ  ??
